In its fourth edition, Civil Society Week (CSW) highlights and promotes the vital role that civil society organizations (CSOs) have played—and continue to play—in strengthening democratic values, protecting the public interest, and encouraging citizens to be active participants in public life. These organizations contribute to the protection of rights, provision of services, and creation of direct impact within communities and across Albanian society.
Civil Society Week (CSW) is a national thematic annual event organized by the National Resource Centre for Civil Society in Albania, in collaboration with Partners Albania for Change and Development, dedicated to showcasing the work of civil society organizations in the country and their contribution to societal development.
Civil Society Week 2025 (#CSW2025) will take place from June 16–22, 2025.
In line with broader European and global initiatives such as the European Year of Digital Citizenship Education 2025, the European Civil Society Week focusing on social cohesion and participation, and the International Civil Society Week, this year’s theme is:
“Civil Society in Action: Values that Inspire, Voices that Drive Change.”
This week will serve as a space for both reflection and action, emphasizing how civil society organizations translate values into practice, build trust, and play a key role in the democratic and social development of the country.
