Civil Society Week 2022

During 7-17 May 2022, the National Resource Centre for Civil Society and Partners Albania organized for the first time the Week of Civil Society in Albania, a series of events and promotion space dedicated to the work and activity of civil society organizations and activists in the country. In line with the European Union’s decision to designate 2022 as the Year of Youth, with the aim of promoting young people and all initiatives that support young people’s participation in policy-making, social integration and their economic empowerment, the theme selected for the first year of Civil Society Week was exactly YOUTH!

About 60 organizations and hundreds of activists from all over the country, under the facilitation of the National Resource Centre, joined the Civil Society Week with a variety of activities within the framework of their implementation programs supported by various donors and in cooperation with public and private institutions. The week created space for all actors of civil society as catalysts of positive changes in society, to come together, discuss and create solutions and concerted actions in the future. Civil Society Week will be an annual activity that will echo the work and contribution of civil society organizations and activists in various sectors.
